- Scope and ContentThanks for Mrs Hadow's cream. Has just been out for a drive in the Morgan. Got a puncture outside a pub and got a man to mend it while having tea in the pub. Have been very busy lately, working up till 11 o'clock every night. Best clerk has just been passed Ci, so will lose him tomorrow. Comments about a possible legal case '... if anyone brought an action, there are severla points that would go against us'[lists them]. 'The result is that we have to allow the woman £1 per week until the old man is alright again. Of course this is done through Prior as an act of benevolence.' Writer is going up to see Prior on Tuesday or Wednesday to consult further. 'Potter's leg is healing and they think he will be able to hobble in about 6 weeks time. The fracture will not cause shortening of the bone or any other permanent disablement.' Miss Green got married last Thursday
