Petty Sessional Division of Bedford
Before the Court of Summary Jurisdiction sitting at the Shire Hall, at Bedford the 13th day of July, One thousand nine hundred and eighteen. Philip Folkes of Kempston in the County Bedford [herein after called the Defendant] is this day convicted for that he on the 2nd day of April One thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at Kempston within the county aforesaid, did unlawfully assault and beat one Harriet Palmer.
And it is adjudged that the Defendant for his said offence be imprisoned in His Majesty’s Prison at Bedford, and there kept for the space of Twenty- Eight days.
