On the hearing of an Appeal against the within conviction it was ordered that the Appeal be allowed, and the conviction quashed.

Petty Sessional Division of Bedford
Before the Court of Summary Jurisdiction sitting at the Shire Hall, at Bedford the 13th day of July, One thousand nine hundred and eighteen. William Marson of Goldington in the said County [herein after called the Defendant] is this day convicted for that he on the 2nd day of April One thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at Kempston within the county aforesaid, did unlawfully assault and beat one Herbert Henry Palmer.
And it is adjudged that the Defendant in his said offence be imprisoned in His Majesty’s Prison at Bedford, and there kept for the space of Twenty- Eight days.
