Letter from Marietta Sechiari to her children from a cruise in Norway.

6th July 1870

From: 1870 To: 1870

Has been at sea nearly a week and not been ill yet; the weather has been unusually fine. Country beautifully mountainous with large waterfalls. All the mountains are covered with snow. Is going on an excursion to see some glaciers tomorow. Has no night as the sun is shining till about 11 PM and rises almost as soon as it sets - further north it won't set at all. Rheumatism has entirely disappeared. The people on board are nice; S Valentine [Sydney Valentine?] the actor is one of the passengers.
