Bedfordshire Michaelmas Quarter Sessions 1918 Shire Hall, Bedford, 1st October, 1918 Sir, I have to give you notice that the next Quarter Sessions of the Peace for the County of Bedford, will be held at the Shire Hall, Bedford on Wednesday, the 9 th day of October, 1918, at Eleven o’clock in the forenoon. Business Springfield Asylum. – To receive application for renewal of Licence (53 Vict. c. 5, secs. 207, 208) To appoint Visitors (53 Vict. c. 5, secs. 177) To order payment of the expenses incurred under the Authority of the Visitors (Vict. c. 5, secs. 225). The Lunacy Acts, 1890-91.- To appoint Justices as the “Judicial Authority,” to exercise during the ensuring year within the County of Bedford the powers conferred by those Acts upon such Authority (Vict. c. 5, secs. 10). At the conclusion of the above-mentioned business the Justices will return to Court to hear Appeals and Motions by Counsel (if any) and to try Prisoners. Your obedient Servant, W.W.
