Scope and Content
Their note of 11th to hand. Hopes he will not carry out threat into execution, as regards placing his case in the hands of his attorney as may rely on his paying every half penny. Will endeavour to remit amount of dishonoured bill and expenses in 10 days, and £20 on 10th of next month, in part payment of £50. Hopes he is aware that Messrs de Jensey and Co's stoppage has caused great inconvenience. Had it not been for this the Bill would never have been returned and promises fulfilled as regards the £50. So hopes he will bear with him a short time longer.
