    Top of a highly decoratively carved staircase in Heath House, Heath & Reach, Bedfordshire, looking up through the balustrade around the landing - three newel posts are visible, each decorated with curving and geometric designs. The wallpaper on the landing is a botanical design and there are three framed pictures hanging, with two partly obscured by the newel posts. The index book has a note stating this is one of eight 'old negatives by John Eden' - there is a question mark instead of a date.
