Granted by Granville George, Earl Granville, Viscount Granville, Baron Leveson etc. Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and Constable of Dover Castle etc. Principle Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs: 'Mr George Parasqueva Sechiari, British Subject, Travelling on the Continent. It is stamped in the top right corner 'Consolato D'Italia in Londra' In pockets, front and back of the pouch are other documents: A document in either Chinese or Japanese A printed document dated Hiogo 10th October 1881, H.B.M.,s Consulate for Hiogo and Osaca, giving permission 'to visit Kioto, Nara, Lake Biwa for a period of 20 days' A hand-written document in an unknown language
