  • Title
Photograph album of the Cowper family, possibly compiled by Anne, Countess Cowper, Baroness Lucas (1806-1880). Consists of photographic prints and carte-de-visite adhered firmly to carrier pages. Some of the carte-de-visite appear to be commercially produced for collectors, e.g. those of Garibaldi, Tennyson, Dickens, but most are of family, friends and acquaintances of the Cowper family. They include politicians, statesmen and diplomats.
