Scope and Content
Half bound in maroon leather with cloth sides. Lines tooled in gold either side of the raised bands on the spine and to the inner edge of the leather where it meets the cloth on the front and back boards. Titled in gold on front board and spine. Red non-pareil marble paper endpapers. Bookplate of Thomas Philip Earl de Grey. Produced between 1833-1859, although the watercolours by Thomas Athow (fl. 1808-1822) on pages 42-59 are likely to be earlier.
