Memorandum of agreement between John Phipps of Shefford, gent. and William and Joseph Lucas of Hitchin, brewers.

- cottage and garden in the occupation of Thomas Viney, shoemaker, in Meppershall. - 6 acres partly cropped with wheat and the other part in grass land and now in the occupation of John Phipps. - cottage with yard garden and appurtanances in the occupation of John Hillyard, labourer. Consideration £350. Title to be made at the expense of John Phipps and outgoings to be paid by him up to the 6th April 1813. William and Joseph Lucas to have the ensuing grass crop and take possession of it and the possession of the arable land when the corn growing on it is taken off.
