    - 2 cottages in Shefford: 17/18 Nov 1755 Ann Palmer of Bedford, one of the two surviving grandchildren of John Palmer, haberdasher of hats & one of the two surviving devisees of Thomas Palmer late of Shefford to Joseph Westron of St Clement Danes, Middsx, taylor and James Beddow of Lincolns Inn, gent. Consideration £70 - half part in three cottages heretofore two cottages in occupation of George Honeybone and Thomas Fisher, which said cottages were devised by the will of Thomas Palmer to his brother John's three grand children and by the decease of Elizabeth Palmer became vested in Ann Palmer and Martha, wife of Joseph Westron. Townsend and Hanger to John Phipps. 6 Feb 1804 John Squire eldest son of Thomas Squire admitted. 15 May 1809 found that on 12 April 1804 John Squire then of Puckeridge surrended one undividied 3rd part in 3 acres and 8 acres to the use of John Phipps of Shefford. Thereby Mr Phipps is seised of the entirity of the 3 acres arable and 5 acres of paster and of 1/3rd of the remaining 3 acres of pasture. The 8 acres he has sold to Messrs Lucas the 1/3rd of the remaining 3 acreas he has not sold - these last mentioned 3 acres lay on the east side of the turnpike road and are in the occupation of Mr Gresham, who is the owner of 2/3rd parts thereof.
