    QSR1911/4/4/11c(i) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and eleven David Teale of the Police Station in the Borough of Luton, in the County of Bedford, personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough , and acknowledge himself to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the sum of Twenty Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of his Good and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord the King his Heirs and Successors, if he the said David Teale shall fail in the Condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, Luton before me. Signed: Albert Wilkinson One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the Borough of Luton Rear of Document: The condition of the within written Recognizance is such, that whereas Amos Clark was this day charged before the said Justice of the Peace on a charge of Felony. If therefore he the said David Teale shall appear at the next Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Shire Hall, Bedford, in and for the County of Bedford, and there prefer or cause to be preferred a Bill of indictment against the said Amos Clark for the offence aforesaid, and duly prosecuted such Indictment, and give evidence thereon as well to the Jurors who shall then enquire of the said Offence, as also to them who shall pass upon the trial of the said Amos Clark then the said Recognizance to be void, or else to stand in full force and virtue. --------------- QSR1911/4/4/11c (ii) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and eleven Amos Clark of Luton And Charles Alfred Clark of 33 Cardigan Street, Luton personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough, and severally acknowledged to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the several Sums following: (that is to say) the said Amos Clark the sum of Ten Pounds and the said Charles Alfred Clark the sum of Ten Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of their several Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord the King , his Heirs and Successors, if he the said Amos Clark fail in the Condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, in the said Borough of Luton, before me. If therefore the the said Amos Clark will appear at the next Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Shire Hall, Bedford in and for the County of Bedford, and there surrender himself into the custody of the Governor of His Majesty’s Gaol there, and plead to such Indictment as may be found against him by the Grand Jury, for or in respect of the charge aforesaid, and take his trial upon the same, and not depart the said Court without leave, then the said Recognizance to be void, or else to sand in full force and virtue. ---------- QSR1911/4/4/11c(iii) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and eleven Walter How of 61 Boyle Street And David Parsons of The Police Station, in the Borough of Luton in the County of Bedford personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough , and severally acknowledged themselves to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the sum of Ten Pounds each of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of their Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord the King his Heirs and Successors, if they the said Walter How & David Parsons shall fail in the Condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, Luton before me. Signed: Albert Wilkinson One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the Borough of Luton Rear of Document: The condition of the within written Recognizance is such, that whereas Amos Clark was this day charged before the said Justice of the Peace on a charge of Felony. If therefore they the said Walter How and David Parsons shall appear at the next Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Shire Hall, Bedford, in and for the County of Bedford, and there prefer or cause to be preferred a Bill of indictment against the said Amos Clark for the Offence aforesaid, as well to the Jurors who shall there enquire of the said Offence, as also to the Jurors who shall pass upon the trial of the said Amos Clark if the said Bill shall be found a true Bill, then the said Recognizance to be void, or else to stand in full force and virtue.
