    QSR1911/4/4/11a (i) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered, that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eleven William Newins Ward of 9 Peel Street And Lewis Stanbridge of 13 John Street And Joseph Henry Attwood of the Police Station in the Borough of Luton in the County of Bedford. Personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough, and severally acknowledge to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the sum of Ten Pounds each of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of their Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord other King, his Heirs and Successors, if they the said William Newins Ward, Lewis Stanbridge and Joseph Henry Attwood shall fail in the condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, in the said Borough of Luton, before me. Signed Albert Wilkinson One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the Borough of Luton. Rear of Document: The Condition of the within written Recognizance is such, That whereas Amos Clark was this day charged before the said Justice of the Peace on a charge of Felony. If therefore they the said William Newins Ward, Lewis Stanbridge and Joseph Henry Attwood shall appear at the next Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Shire Hall, Bedford, in and for the County of Bedford, and there give such evidence as they know, upon a Bill of Indictment to be then and there preferred against the said Amos Clerk for the Offence aforesaid, as well to the Jurors who shall there enquire of the said Offence, as also to the Jurors who shall pass upon the trial of the said Amos Clark if the said Bill shall be found a true Bill, then the said Recognizance to be void, or else to stand in full force and virtue QSR1911/4/4/11a (ii) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered, that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eleven Amos Clark of Luton And Charles Alfred Clark of 33a Cardigan Street Luton Personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough, and severally acknowledge to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the several Sums following: (that is to say) the said Amos Clark the sum of Ten Pounds, and the said Charles Alfred Clark the sum of Ten Pounds each, of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of their Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord other King, his Heirs and Successors, if he the said Amos Clark shall fail in the condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, in the said Borough of Luton, before me. QSR1911/4/4/11a (iii) Borough of Luton, to wit Be it remembered, that on the 20th day of September in the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eleven David Teale of The Police Station in the Borough of Luton in the County of Bedford, Personally came before me, one of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said Borough, and acknowledge himself to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the Sum of Twenty Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great Britain, to be made and levied of his Goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements, to the use of our said Lord the King, his Heirs and Successors, if he the said David Teale shall fail in the condition indorsed. Taken and acknowledged the day and year first above mentioned, at the Court House, in the said Borough of Luton, before me. Signed Albert Wilkinson One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the Borough of Luton. Rear of Document: The Condition of the within written Recognizance is such, That whereas Amos Clark was this day charged before the said Justice on a charge of Felony. If therefore he the said David Teale shall appear at the next Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden at the Shire Hall, Bedford, in and for the County of Bedford, and there prefer or cause to be preferred a Bill of Indictment against the said Amos Clark for the offence aforesaid, and duly prosecute such Indictment, and give evidence thereon as well to the Jurors who shall then enquire of the said offence, as also to them who shall pass upon the trial of the said Amos Clark then the said Recognizance to be void, or else to stand in full force and virtue.
