- Scope and ContentWilliam John Kendrick charged on 30th November 1910 that he did between 6th & 14th November 1910 in Luton, unlawfully & feloniously steal take & carry away a violin and bow to the value of £5.00 the goods & chattels of Emily Tooth The said charge being read to William John Kendrick and the witnesses for the prosecution being severally examined in his presence, the said William John Kendrick is asked if he wished to say anything in answer to the charge; He says; I have nothing to say but I make application for legal assistance. Taken before me at the Court House Luton on the day & year as mentioned above. As directed in 18th section of the Act Eleventh & Twelfth Victoria, Chapter Forty-Two, I, the Justice of the Peace did ask William John Kendrick if he desired to call any Witness & thereupon he replied that he did not.
