Scope and Content
By Order of Exchange of lands in Langford confirmed by Enclosure Commissioners on 24 Nov 1870, land numbered 1 (therein described) (3 acres 1 rood 15 perches) and 2 and 3 (3 acres 1 rood 12 perches and 3 acres 1 rood and 13 perches) were given in exchange by the Reverend Henry Addington as vicar in exchange by him as tenant for life in his own right
However, there is an error in said Order as portion of 1 (2 acres 5 perches) was not glebe land of said vicar and should have contained 3 acres 2 roods 10 perches, and 2 should have contained 3 acres 34 1/2 perches and 3, 3 acres 35 1/2 perches.
Now the Reverend Christopher Cooper Ewbank, vicar of Langford, and Thomas Alexander Edwards Addington (present owners of the land), and the Alliance Bank Ltd (as mortgagees of lands taken under Order of Exchange), have, with the Lord Chancellor, the Patron, Thomas A E Addington, Lord of the Manor (as part of the land concerned is copyhold), made application to correct the error
Now lands are to be taken as described in plan on this document, and corrected acreages as above
