    Site of Bedford (Midland Road) station opened 1858. Land acquired 10 Mar 1858; Ampthill Road is shown as being diverted 5 chains to the south, crossing the LNWR triangle (still in existence in 1970 though modified) and the Bedford Railway on the level (sanctioned by the Board of Trade).
