At Luton Magistrates court on 7th May 1913 he was convicted that on 4th May 1913 in Luton he did break & enter the shop of George Fensome & steal eight shillings in money & fifteen packets of cigerettes valued at five shillings the goods of Mr Fensome. The defendant having consented to be dealt with summarily is convicted of the offence and do forfeit and pay the sum of eleven shillings and a further sum of nineteen shillings for costs. In default of the payment it is adjudged that the sums due be levied by distress and sale of the defendants goods, and in default of sufficient destress the defendant be imprisoned in St Albans for 21 days . signed A.A Oakley, Geo Ordish Justices of the Peace, certified as a true copy by W W Marks Clerk of the Peace
