  • Scope and Content
Letter headed Small Holdings, Willes to Beds County Council, re Rights of Way. Mr Trevor- Davies writes; I am in receipt of your letter of yesterday returning these engrossments together with a copy letter from Mr Peacock. I am sorry your council is not prepared to keep the road in repair and therfore I am afraid the negotiations must end. As you are aware the right of way is not of any benefit to my client, Dr Willes, and he only agreed to grant it as a convenience to the allotment holders, that being so your council surely cannot expect him to pay anything towards keeping the road in repair. I have no doubt hat if your council look at the matter in this light they will at once see that my client is under no obligation to pay any proportion of the costs or keeping the road in repair, from which he obtains no benefit, and that they will reconsider the matter. Yours faithfully J Trevor -Davies
