Allegation Joseph Lockey, widower, of the Parish of Southill, Bedford to marry Mary Ell, of the Parish of Henlow, Bedford in the Parish Church of Henlow. James Sumpter Ell made oath that attached note true extract of baptism of Joseph Lockey, son of Nicholas and Hannah Lockey, at Southill on November 11th 1791, signed by J.H.Neve, Vicar on February 10th 1823. Also Baptism note attached of Mary daughter of Charles and Mary Ell for April 12th 1790 signed by G.E, Mohop (?) Curate of Henlow and dated 9th February 1823.Signatues of Joseph Lockey, Mary Ell, John Sumpter Ell and William Collins Cumming, surrogate.
