Numbered 4799 Ancient Order of Foresters duly established under the Friendly Societies Acts Consideration: 2) to 1) £200 Relating to the land and premises Church Street, Dunstable detailed in an indenture dated 27 October 1879 made between (1) and (2) (see Z1362/6/6/5). Additional mortgage, terms by payment of consideration plus interest of £5 per cent per annum by (1) to (2) Letter and note attached to front of document - From Mr F J White to (1) stating he has consulted with Ancient Order of Foresters re: additional £200 advance. Note citing present Trustees of AOF 4799 as at 29 December 1882 Lewis White, butcher of Church Street George Brown, warehouseman, of Church Street James Fensome, miller, of Edward Street NB: Names in (2) updated with trustees as of date of mortgage, as per attached note. Addtional undated indenture attached to above document, relating to mortgage on second piece of land, crossed through. 1) Charles Lockhart, esquire Joseph Gutteridge, esquire John Pickering, straw hat & bonnet manufacturer. All of Dunstable Trustees of the Dunstable Permanent Benefit Investment & Building Society 2) Charles White the younger of Luton, architect 3) George Edward Sibley of Williamson Street, Luton, aforesaid manufacturer 4) Frederick Ellis of John Street, Luton, aforesaid manufacturer Reciting indenture made 2 May 1882 between (1) and (2) regarding all that piece or parcel of land known as Vane's Estate site, Luton used to secure a mortgage of £5000. Where (2) lately contracted with (3) for the sale of a piece of the land for £47 and it was agreed that £42.10 should be paid to (1) in reduction of monies owing to them. Loose letter inside deeds from Royal Insurance Company to Messrs Middleton & Gutteridge, solicitors dated 2 November 1888 regarding statement of fire account for the quarter. No properties detailed.
