John Bateman and Frederick Taylor did in Luton steal a pair of boots valued 10s. 6d the goods and chattels of William Edwin Briggs. Plea; Bateman, not guilty. Taylor, guilty admits previous conviction Verdict; not guilty Sentence; Taylor Twelve months imprisonment with hard labour 2nd count; on 1st January 1908 at the Quarter Sessions in and for the Borough of Leicester John Bateman and Frederick Taylor were respectively convicted of felony.
