- Scope and Content1) Mary Jane Barnard of 245 Lavender Hill, London, spinster 2) Edward Anthony Cumberland of Luton, Bedfordshire, auctioneer George Taylor of Dunstable, Bedfordshire, land agent 3) Ezekiel Elliott of Park Street, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, boot merchant Consideration: £110 Reciting: All that freehold inclosure of land situate at the intersection of High Street North and Houghton Road in the parish of Houghton Regis,in the county of Bedford, containing eleven acres, two roods, thirty three poles or thereabouts of which the hereditaments hereinafter conveyed form part. Agreements dated 19 October 1892 and 16 December 1892 (1) agreed to sell above land to (2) Consideration from (3) to (1) for land detailed below. All that plot or parcel of freehold building land situate within the parish of Houghton Regis, containing 27 poles, 15 yards or thereabouts, boundaries and abuttals were drawn on a plan (plan not included with deed on accession) Together with the right of way and passage of the width of five feet from the new road at the rear of the premises. First schedule: Description of fences to be maintained Purchaser to pay proportion of maintenance costs for adjoining road. Limitation of personal liability. Second schedule: 24 June 1861 - Conveyance between Nathaniel Charles Milne and Edward Barnard 19 October 1892 - Contract between MJ Barnard and E A Cumberland & G Taylor 16 December 1892 - Agreement between the same parties.
