Scope and Content
This is to certify that at the Assizes and General Delivery of the gaol at Bedford on 26th October 1908 Arthur Pestell was convicted upon his own confession that on 18th August 1908, in Luton, he did break and enter the dwelling house of Arthur John Clark and did steal 5 watches the goods and chattels of the said Arthur John Clark. He was imprisioned and kept at hard labour for 12 calendar months, Borstal System. Given under my Hand and Seal this 10th October 1910 WE Moorman deputy clerk of Assize for the Midland Circuit.
