- Scope and ContentIn the County of Bedford, we the undersigned, severally acknowledge ourselves to owe to our Sovereign Lord The King the several sums following, namely, Abraham Hibberson of Pertenhall as principal, the sum of £20 and William Hibberson of Bedford as surety the sum of £20 to be levied on our several goods lands and tenements if the said principal fail in condition hereunder written. Signed by both the above, taken before me the 3rd day of July 1910 signed S H Whitbread, Alfred Carruthers. The condition of the above recognizance is such that if the above bound principal shall be of good behaviour and shall appear when called on before the Court of the Quarter Session of Bedford to receive sentence upon a certain Indictment under which the above principal stands convicted at the said Court of Quarter Session held on 29th June 1910 of having on 6th June 1910 feloniously stolen taken and driev away 11 ewes and 10 lambs the property on one Charles Banks then the said recognizance shall be void but otherwies shall remain in force.
