    Essex. – These are to certify that at the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King, held at Chelmsford in and for the County of Essex, By adjournment on Wednesday, the twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Two and in the Second Year of the Reign of His said present Majesty, King Edward V11 - William Lee - was in due form of law tried and convicted on a certain Indictment against him and another that he on the sixth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand Nine Hundred and Two feloniously did break and enter the Dwelling of Walter Prentis situate in the Borough of Southend on the Sea in the said County with intent the Good and Chattels of the said Walter Prentis feloniously to steal and these are further to certify that at the same Session the said William Lee was found to have been before convicted of felony by his then name of John Williams and was thereupon ordered to be kept in Penal Servitude for the term of Six years.
