Sir, we hereby give you notice of our intention to apply for the renewal of the Licence for Springfield House, Bedford at the ensuing Michaelmas Quarter Sessions. William Scott Bower and Miss Mary Ballars intending to reside therein. We have append a list of the names, numbers and class of the patient at present detained here as required by the Commissioners rules under the Lunacy Act 1890. We are, Sir your obedient servants, (Signed) David Bower MD; Marion L. Bower; Mary Bellars; W. Scott-Bower 17 Male patients and 28 Female patients (names on document) all being of the private class.
