    Letter to Eastern Command didn't give name of the Sergeant only his number. Draft reply explains that C Hinton's appeal was entered about a month previously. 'He reported himself after a month leave from Egypt at Mill Hill barracks, a fortnight since, where he is now. He joined up at the commencement of the war and saw service in Gallipoli leaving his business of Despencing Chemist at a great loss, and now his assistant has reached military age and his calling up is only being delayed, pending the decision of the Hinton appeal, and he is under contract with the Beds Insurance Committee to carry out their dispensing under the Insurance Act. The matter therefore is very pressing...'
