Group photograph of cast and orchestra of ‘The Geisha’ Mr Searle’s 1902 production in the Ampthill National School garden. Centre, next to the white suited officer (probably Vic Mills) is Edith Ashman (Mrs Minney) who usually took soprano leads. Standing next to the chap with the double bass is violinist Newby Stanbridge. Charles Searle, producer & all else, peeps out from the back row over the leading officer’s shoulder.
