Letter from Royds, Rawstone & Co to WW Marks, Shire Hall Bedford; re G J Gribble, the Sale of Old Field Farm. We have applied to Eyre & Spottiswode for a copy of the Henlow Enclosure Act, but as this is a private Act the expence of obtaining a copy is somewhat heavy. We know that in 1890 Mr Pearce, who was Clerk of the Peace had a copy of this Act as he produced it in the Quarter Sessions in that year. Can you kindly tell us if this copy is put away somewhere in he Town Hall. We are sorry to have troubled you in his matter. We Understand from Counsel that the next Quarter Session will be held 1st July 1908 at 11 am, at which he will make the application for the reassessment of the Corn Rent. dated 23rd June 1908
