'Mewzeym time' - signature tune to programme on TV called 'Animal, Vegetable, Mineral' with Sir Mortimer Wheeler. 'Willy Inskip, properly 'Bill' used to work for us. 'My Welcome Home flag' 'Let L. B. have my address' [Alan Lemox-Boyd MP, then Colonial Secretary, and Andrew Underwood's godfather.] At Aden the other day. Clocks go back half hour a day. 'Cherrytrees' a traveller representing some electrical firm, who became a friend of father & mother: his house was called 'Cherrytrees' . More plans for reorganisation when gets home. 'Mrs A' [Gladys Asker, cleaning lady]. 'Charley' Cheeseman's cat. Reference to free issue of cigarettes.
