Notes on Wilden School.
Peats' School Wilden was established 1624. By the early nineteenth century it had become very much a Dissenting School and an enquiry in 1846-7 concluded that a church school ought to be established.
Copy of Conveyance from William Hodge and Robert Lindsell to Minister and Churchwardens of Wilden of land then known as The Three Horseshoes (later the Swan) for a school, dated 2nd September 1851.
Copy of Charity Commissioners Report March 8th 1859 reviewing the history of the school.
