26th June 1893 - was tried and convicted of unlawfully obtaining from Charles Martin the sum of £5 by means of false pretences with intent to defraud on the 6th November 1891 on and the said Henry Benton and was there upon sentenced by the Court to be imprisoned in the Majesties Prison at St Albans and there kept to kept to hard labour for the space of 12 calendar months. Documentd dated 28th September 1904.
