Declaration by: Edwin James Leseter of 45 All Saints Avenue, Maidenhead (Berks), retired warehouseman; Thomas Weatherill of Dunstable, warehouseman; Thompson Smallwood of Dunstable, retired shoemaker that:
(1) Chapel at Chalk Hill was conveyed as stated in deed dated 1859 [MB2/CH/6/4992]
(2) Paper produced marked 'A' is that deed
(3) By a Memorandum of Choice and Appointment of Trustees dated 22 April 1878 the chapel was vested in themselves together with John Kay, James Elvin, George Flemons Hopkins, Charles Lockhart senior, John Robinson, Walter Lester, James Tearly, Charles Lockhart junior, James Tibbett, Alfred Pitkin and Edward Carrington George
(4) Remaining Trustees have since died
(5) They are the surviving Trustees of the Chapel
(6) Original documents have been lost
(7) They have been in undisputed possession of the Chapel since 1898
