    1) George Rushbrooke of Ampthill, draper. 2) Joseph Sharples of Hitchin, James Hack Tuke of Hitchin, Edward Lucas of Luton and Francis Lucas of Hitchin, bankers and copartners. 3) Francis Lucas Recites: - 2) have contracted with 1) for the absolute purchase of messuage or tenement part of shop yard hereditaments and premises including the articles and materials now in and upon the premises intended to have been used in the reparation thereof. Agreed that George Rushbrooke should have the use and occupation of that part of the premises forming part of the shop now in his occupation the other part of the shop being the estate of Joseph Mead Rogers for 20 years and 3 months from the 29 Sept 1857 at the nominal rent of 1 shilling per year Consideration £425 and £30 in order that proper stamp duty is paid. . 1) grants to 3) in trust for 2) as part of the capital or joint stock of their copartnership. All that messuage or tenement in Ampthill (now better known and described as All that messuage or tenement part of a shop yard and permises) erected and built by one William Hickman upon the site of a messuage formerly in the tenure or occupation of Sarah Fookes and afterwards of Laurence Humberstone and which said erected messuage was formerly in the occupation of Walter Borlase afterwards of John Morris the younger since of Thomas Brace Stone then of Mary Stone his widow since of the said John Rogers deceased late of Joseph Mead Rogers and now of the said Levi Croson and is a corner house in Ampthill next to Bedford Street a messuage or tenement formerly of the said Thomas Brace Stone since of the said John Rogers deceased and now of the said Joseph Mead Rogers standing and being on the east part thereof and which said messuage was purchased by John Rogers deceased of William Stone and includes that portion thereof now forming part of the shop adjoining and now in the occupation of the saidt George Rushbrooke. Coloured red on the plan in the margin, plan includes measurements.
