Richard Bland having disposed the cups and balls upon a stool or table in a certain form offered to lay wagers with the bystanders as to which cup or thimble covered one of the balls, when a youth of the name of Thomas Hill, one of the scholars in the school ... was induced at the instance and persuasion of the said William Gray to lay a wager ... but the said Thomas Hill having no money about him was urged and induced ... to stake his watch and seal upon the issue ... against a pound in money of ... Richard Blands ... upon the ... wager being ... fraudulently decided against Thomas Hill ... William Gray ... snatched in a forcible manner ... the watch and seal; in all which ...
