  • Scope and Content
He had lost a quantity of brass work formerly used in the machinery of a mill. He missed them from a brewhouse room under the staircase. "I then ascertained that none of my children had been playing with them." He heard that Robert Eales had been trying to sell machine brasses to Joseph Archer, higler at Sharnbrook. He asked Joseph Archer to buy them so that he could catch the thief. Robert Eales would not sell to Joseph Archer but said he was going to Bedford to sell them. Eventually he recovered them as in QSR1818/358. Examination of Robert Perkins, Sharnbrook, who walked into Bedford with Robert Eales. Examination of Benjamin Kilpin, Bedford, ironmonger.
