  • Scope and Content
He lodges in the house of Ann Quick. In November, her son, Job Quick, came home and slept in the same bed with him. On a Saturday evening Thomas Carter cleaned a pair of nearly new high shoes... and set them a little way from the fire place ready for Sunday morning - when Job Quick observed "that they were ready for starting". Job Quick got up at five o'clock and after going down stairs Thomas Carter heard him moving his high shoes about "he knew they were his shoes because he heard the settling of the tips on the floor". Job Quick's not having tips. He got up immediately but was too late to catch Job Quick. He pursued him but could hear nothing of him. See also QSR1818/248, 355, 561.
