Seized William Baines between 12 and 1 a.m. by his father's potato pit; there was a bag beside the pit which contained about 3 pecks of potatoes. He let Baines go and told his father of what had happened. They then called the constable and all three went to Baines house between 3 and 4 a.m. and took him from his bed into custody.
