After enquiries found two at Mrs Harleys, The Wheatsheaf, Woburn and two at Mr Bakers, the Cock Inn, Woburn. Mrs Baker said they were bought from a man at Ridgmont. Examination of John Inwood of Woburn; his mistress bought two cocks and a pullet from James Stapleton in his master's yard at the Cock Inn. Examination of Stapleton: he bred the fowls he sold and has bred fowls for six years.
