- Scope and ContentExamination of Jane Jefferies of Biggleswade, spinster, daughter of John Jefferies, watchmaker, and serves customers in his shop. A customer brought back six pairs of bracelet snaps which she had taken to look at, intending to purchase one pair. She counted them and left them on the counter and then went into the parlour to talk to her mother where she remained for about two minutes. When she came back one pair was missing. She told her father who went after Samuel Huckle who had just left the shop; he confessed to the robbery and gave the bracelet snaps back.
