    Information of Hannah, wife of John Prudden of Ampthill. labourer. Lost a boiler which she later heard was in the possession of John Manton, who was trying to sell it. Found it at Mr Handscombs. Information of Charles Goode of Ampthill, constable, Thje boiler, givren up by Handscomb's wife, was bought from Manton. Information of Ebenezer Handscomb of Ampthill, broker. Bought the boiler from John MAnton junior in the street on Christmas day for 2s 6d. Information of John Manton junior of Ampthill, labourer. Was asked by the prisoner [Samuel Woodcraft] to sell the boiler, which he did, to Ebenezer Handscomb
