Information of John Parkins of Luton, watchman. Going up Gravel Pit Hill he met William Cherry with a bag on his shoulder. Asked what he had in the bag, Cherry said 'What odds does it make to you?' He pulled it off his shoulders and 'sprung my rattle' Mr Dawson and Joseph Barrett came to his assistance and they took Cherry up the hill to Mrs Hunt's, where they found the geese in the bag.
Information of John Parkins of Luton, gamekeeper. Missed 2 geese from the farm yard of Mr. Gutteridge at Crawley Green. Went to Luton where Clarke, the constable asked him if he knew who had lost 2 geese. Identified the geese at John Groom's house as those of mr Gutteridge, as also the sack they were in.
