    Examination of William Clark of Cranfield. He and another watchman stopped and searched John Battams at 2 a.m. They found a blanket wrapped round him, under his outside jacket. There was a scuffle near the churchyard and the blanket dropped from him, and he escaped. The blanket was given to the constable, Mr Faulkner.
