- Scope and ContentRecites will wherein Eli Sibthorpe left his real estate to his two brothers Joseph Sibthorpe and John Sibthorpe in trust for his six unmarried children for 10 years from his decease and he desired that if his son John Sibthorpe should think fit to carry on his business to assist the children then all the testators book debts and other debts should be made available for the purpose and at the expiration of 10 years the son should be at liberty to purchase the same. John Sibthorpe has since the death of his father on the 11 January 1863 carried on the business with the view of exercising the right of presumption and has paid to brothers Eli, George Hickford and Joseph Sibthorpe sums representing the parts or share of and in the sum of £500. John is indebted to the London & County Banking Company and is desirous of securing to the company the amount now owing.
