Brought him back and a bundle of linen was found on him.Information of Martha Austin, wife of Joseph Austin, labourer of Staploe and mother of Joseph Austin of Bushmead [above]. She was nursing Thomas Topham's wife and had washed linen and hung it on the hedge to dry. The Articles found on Ball were a shirt, 6 napkins, 2 child's gowns, a white handkerchief and a towell.Information of Thomas Topham of Bushmead; identifies the linen as his property.
