Scope and Content
He went to Brachwood Green 'with an intention of going to a Meeting House there.' After finding that Mr Hare had already left his farm to go to the meeting he decided to break into his house instead and stole notes and silver from a chest of drawers in a bedroom. Next day he bought various things from Luton market; high shoes, gaiters, watch, knife, canvass purse. He spent three shillings and sixpence in eating and drinking. He could not read, but thought the note he changed was worth a pound.
