Scope and Content
1) Charles Bithrey of Carlton, malster and chapman, eldest son of John Bithrey late of Carlton, malster and chapman deceased, who was one of the sons of Uriah Bithrey late of Carlton, gent, deceased.
2) Edmund Squire of Middington Hall, Middington, Essex esq, and Thomas Bithrey of Bedford, coal merchant.
Consideration 5 shillings.
- messuage cottage or tenement and malting erections and buildings lately or heretofore made or built with the Garden Orchard and pightle or close of pasture ground to the said messuage adjoining containing by estimation 2 acres more or less in Carlton heretofore in the occupation of William Massam, Robert Norman and John Ellington and afterwards of Gideon Bithrey and since Phillip Hill and now of the said Mary Bithrey and Charles Bithrey. A close now or late of Thomas Boddington on the north side, abutting towards the west on Carlton Street and towards the East on Brach Field.
- messuage cottage or tenement and buildings lately or heretofore made or built with the appurtenances in Carlton and a close of pasture thereunto belonging now or late in the occupation of John Gilbert containing by estimation 2 acres some time since inclosed out of and from four leys and a gore of land by a hedge ranging along the highway leading to Bridge End and which the said messuage and close are lying next on the south side to the before mentioned messuage and were formerly parcel of an estate of William Rudd of Carlton, baker.
Recites lease and release dated 4/5 May 1726 conveying the said property by Uriah Bithrey and Ann his wife unto the said John Bithrey deceased and his heirs.
