Extract from Registry of Lincoln reciting: suit, Buckden, between Joan Trayly, Abbess of Elstow, plaintiff, & John Wrottynge, perpetual vicar of Wilstead, defendant, concerning restoration and repairs to the chancel of Wilstead Church. reciting: confirmation by Philip, Bishop of Lincoln, of agreement between the parties that the vicar of Wilstead should repair the chancel at his own expense under pain of £10 to Bishop of Lincoln, and the Abbess shall provide the vicar with 4 cartloads of stone. 14 Nov 1414 extracted 24 Oct 1633
