Gearey --- messuage & farm in the occupation of Thomas Eyte --- messuage, farm & cottage in the occupation of John Hawkins --- messuage with orchard, pightle & outhouse let to the inhabitants of Eaton Socon for a workhouse for the poor of the parish --- cottage, barn & outhouses & orchard in the occupation of John Clarke --- cottage, barn & outhouses & orchard in the occupation of John Staughton all in Eaton Socon, Wyboston, Chawson, Roxton, Divelhoe & Betts. --- parcel of ground & messuage with yard, South side of Long Acre, St. Martins in the Fields, Middlesex, in the occupation of William Howse --- messuage formerly in the occupation of Hugh Clarke then George Carter, now Thomas Pratt, built over the gateway leading to the stables mentioned below --- messuage, yard, shed formerly in the occupation of Mary Nailer, spinster, then Robert Tilt, then Thomas Pratt --- messuage since built by Robert Tilt, shed & yard, formerly in the occupation of Giles Sussex then Mary Walmesley, widow --- stables & haylofts behind the messuage, late built by Hugh Clarke, with shed, yard, horsepond & ground, formerly in the occupation of Hugh Clarke, now Thomas Pratt all in parish of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate. to uses: to use of (i) for life, then (ii) for life, then to (iii) for 300 years in trust to use of heirs of the marriage in tail male, remainder, if (i) survives (ii) to (iv) in trust and Charles Pratt & John Blencowe for 500 years, then to heirs male of (i) by any other marriage, remainder to daughters equally - of (i) & (ii) -, remainder to (i) & heirs in fee. if (ii) survives (i), in default of heirs male of the marriage to use of daughters of the marriage as above, remainder to (i) & heirs. provided that if (i) survives (ii) and there is no issue male, (i) may appoint all or part of the premises, subject to the two terms, to use of any other wife he marries. term of 300 years: to discharge the legacies under the will of John Whetham, deceased, to daughters & younger sons on deaths of (i) & (ii) term of 500 years: if (i) survives (ii) & no issue male of marriage, to raise portions for daughters of the marriage. (ii) to John Peareth --- 1/3 of fee farm rents from manors in Leicestershire (£131..6s..3d) purchased by her late father from Henry John Mertins, Esquire, and devised to daughters --- 1/3 fee farm rents from manors in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire & Warwickshire (£54..13s..7d) purchased [by] same from Reginald Marriot, esquire & devised as above --- 1/4 of manor of Pyworthy, Devon --- all messuages & farms in parishes of Werrington, Devon, Radford, East & West Horrell, Sutton & Bridgetown, Devon, which on the death of Sir William Morice, Baronet, descended to (ii) as one of the heirs of John Morice, esquire, her grandfather, deceased. in order to suffer a recovery. to uses: to use of (i) for life, then to (ii) then heirs male of (i) & (ii), then to daughters of marriage as tenants in common, or survivors, remainder if (i) survives (ii) to (ii) & heirs, if (ii) survives (i) to (ii) & heirs. subject to annuity of £40 under will of Arthur Barnardiston to Edward Bonham. [?South Sea] Annuities have been transferred by (ii) to (iii) & (i) has received £791..11s..9d being the whole personal estate of (ii) except the 1/3 share of £3,150 Orphans' stock in names of Edward & Arthur Radcliffe under will of Arthur Barnardiston] when the 1/3 share becomes payable it is to be assigned to (iii) in trust to raise up to £1,200, and to pay mortgage above, renew Peterhouse lease, meet legacies under will of John Whetham if necessary, (i), or (ii) after his decease or either at discretion may use remainder to purchase real estate to convey to trustees --- £5,000 worth of real estate to (iii) in trust, 600 years. --- remainder to use of (i) for life, then £6,000 worth to use of (ii), and if (ii) survives (i) and there are no male issue of the marriage, then to her heirs residue and also the £6,000 if there is issue male, after decease of (ii) to (iv), Charles Pratt & John Blencowe for 1,000 years to use of issue male of the marriage, remainder to daughters of the marriage remainder if (i) survives (ii) to (iii) for 400 years or if (ii) survives (i) and there is no issue male of the marriage to use of (ii) & heirs. term of 600 years: in case of any claim under will of John Whetham to protect jointure of (ii) term of 1,000 years: to raise portions for younger sons and daughters of the marriage. If (i) survives (ii) and marries again, then the trustees are to take possession of the estate purchased with £6,000 during life of (i) for maintenance & education of the children. term of 400 years: if (i) survives (ii) & in default of issue, to raise £6,000 to be paid to any person nominated by (ii) endorsed: memorandum that (iii) may nominate other trustees in case of death. witnesses.
